A recent Medical graduate of Narayana Medical College, ANDHRAPRADESH, INDIA. She did Clerkship at CAMC, West Virginia University, Charleston in 2013. She joined the Medicine profession as one of the youngest MDs ever registered with the Medical Council of India. Dr Lokitha mentors Anatomy & Physiology and Medical Terminology for Premed Students  and Course director for DIT course training.

Mr. Kenroy Johnson

Mr. Kenroy Johnson has spent most of his life working in the field of education, having taught or worked as an administrator at all levels of the system: primary, secondary and post secondary. He graduated in 1996 with a first class honors degree in Education and Biology from the Cave Hill Campus, University of the West Indies. He then successfully completed a Masters’ programme in Education and Curriculum Studies at the University of British Columbia, Canada in 2000. This was followed in 2007 by a Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Management with the University of Technology Jamaica.

As a Graduate Teacher, Mr. Johnson taught at the secondary level in a number of subject areas including English Language, Integrated Science, Human and Social Biology and General Biology. He also served as a Secondary School principal for five years: August 2004 to October 2009. This was followed by a stint at the St Vincent Community College (October 2009 – November 2010) as Outreach Officer mandated to establish a College outreach programme in rural communities.

Mr. Johnson has also been involved in Curriculum initiatives at both the local and regional levels. In 1998 he worked as part of a team headed by a Canadian Consultancy firm: EKOS Communications, Inc., in developing a Biodiversity Curriculum for the OECS. In 2003 – 2004 he worked as part of a regional team headed by Professor Winston King - UWI, in developing a Lower Secondary School and Primary School Science Curriculum for the OECS. In addition he has worked on several local Curriculum Development Projects.

Mrs. Farzana Haque

FarzanaHaque is an M.Sc. graduate from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. She is pursuing her PhD from University of Kwazulu-natal, South Africa. She did her research fellowship from ICDDR’B, Bangladesh and she went for M.Phil.in 2009 from University of Dhaka. She has experience in teaching and research and she is teaching the pre-med courses for the students at American University of St. Vincent from 2014.

Mr. Terrell Thompson

Terrell Thompson graduated from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom with an M.Sc. in Energy and Environmental Engineering (Distinction). Prior to this, he completed a B.Sc. - Chemistry with Biochemistry (Hons) at the University of the West Indies, Barbados. He has several years of research and teaching experience, the latter as both a Biology and Chemistry tutor at Queen’s College, Barbados. Additionally, he functions in the role of Assistant Examiner (Biology) for the annual Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE) examinations. At present, he is a lecturer tutoring pre-med courses at the American University of St. Vincent.

Ercelle John Thomas

Department of English

Ercelle John Thomas has worked as an educator for all of her adult life. She taught at primary, secondary and pot tertiary levels. Her professional credentials include a teaching certificate from the St Vincent Teachers’ College, endorsed by the University of the West Indies, a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of the West Indies and a post graduate diploma in the teaching of English from the University of the West Indies.
She served as Head of the English Department and Deputy Principal at the Girls’ High School and later at the St Martin’s Catholic Boys School.
Mrs Thomas has had some expertise and experience in the fields of Dance and Drama. She has served voluntarily in various organizations and was a member of the St Vincent Educational Advisory Board. She is currently a part time lecturer in English at the American University of St Vincent and does private tutoring for secondary school students and university undergraduate students attached to the UWI. She has edited several books and has herself authored a number of short stories for children.

Ms. Calicia Charles has done her B.Sc. - Chemistry with Biochemistry and Analytical Chemistry (Hons), University of the West Indies, Trinidad. And she has experience as Chemistry Lecturer – St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College DASGS. She has worked as Supervisory Teacher – UNESCO funded Research Project held at the St. Vincent Community College.
